The Alfa Romeo Experience

Darling and I called it the "Alfa Romeo Experience". On this fateful Wednesday night, Darling decided to rent the Alfa Romeo out for a spin. We headed out to town for the night. Since we already had dinner at the all-famous Banquet in Jurong Point, we decided to have dessert at the quaint little eatery at Cineleisure level 2. The ride to town was wonderful. Fine, it was just a ride. But hey, a ride in an Alfa Romeo was not just any ride, mind you. The engine was soo smooth that it seems as if the car was gliding on the road. Obviously, Darling Dear had a splendid moment testing out the car. He was appalled that I did not even have any urge to drive the Alfa at all. "How can you not want to drive?!" Sorry dear. Although I do have a license, I would rather dazed out in the passanger seat than steering the wheel and swearing at all those bloody taxis and lorries who simply do not know the rules of the road.
Anyway, he had a great time driving the Alfa. Sheesh. Boys and their toys.
Here is an interesting theory that both of us had thought of. The flashier is your car, the higher is your status on road. Haha.. Singaporeans are such materialistic beings! The Alfa did get many attention on the road. I mean, talk about other vehicles giving the Alfa the right of way all the time and yes, people did stare with such envious looks that we can practically see the Green Eyed Monster glaring spitefully back at us. Hey! Relax people! We do not even own the Alfa! It was RENTED. However, it was nice to pretend to be rich yuppies. We took pictures with the Alfa Baby-for memories sake. Who knows? It might be ours, some day. Yup. Ten years from now. Hahz....
