I dont know where my chatterbox is. It had just vanished suddenly. Sheeshh..... Im such a computer idiot!

Anyways, Mid term break (which is not exactly a real break since we are bombarded by a heavy workload) is ending soooon.. Arrghh.. Certainly not looking forward to coming back to school for lessons. I have been reframing and re-doing my Security Studies essay outline. I think my lecturer is getting sick of reading and answering my emails and queries. Cant help it. Sometimes, I could be so clueless and lost.

Work keeps piling up. Sooner or later, it will piled up so high to form a mini-mount everest. I had just spend nearly 30 bucks of printing the bloody readings and the worse part is that there are still more readings to be printed out. Going Bonkers.....

Tomorrow is the second last day of Mendaki teaching. Yay! And more YaY! I cant wait to get out of that school. I dont really fancy teaching kids who have no passion to study at ALL. Attendance is very bad. The school facilities are decaying. Enough said.

Jeez.. So far, I have been complaining and whining. Okay, let me think of some happy thoughts. Hmmm... I am thinking of doing my hair. After much deliberation, I have decided to curl it. Hehhee... So fun! Intan is thinking of rebonding her hair and we decide to pay a visit to the salon soooon. Cant wait. It seems nice to do girl-girl stuffs with a girlfriend. Usually, I went to the salon by myself. Really dull since the whole process of doing the hair can take a loooong, loooong time.

Today marks the first day of Ramadhan. We had our typical early breakfast of rice before the crack of dawn. I could not sleep yet so I guess this is a wonderful moment to update the blog.

The week has been pretty busy but not hectic. I had a Seoul's Garden Buffet Lunch with the ladies at Takashimaya on Tuesday. We called it the "last moment to pig out before the fasting month" type of treat. We spend nearly four hours in the restaurant- eating and chatting endlessly.

Yesterday I had a day out with Baby Dearie. We went to catch a movie at The Cathay before heading to Newton to have dinner. "The Haunted Apartments" was not really that haunting but it was a rather decent movie. I still could not figure out why is the movie rated as NC-16. It may be probably due to a particular scene where a couple sucked each other blood from the wrists during dinner time. Maybe. Our dinner at Newton was deliciously wonderful-as usual. We were sitting beside this group of Japanese businessmen. I was overhearing their conversations throughout most of the time since we were sitting very close to them. At first, they were conversing in English. It seems to me that they were practising their English Language with each other since they were speaking very slowly and one of the men kept on translating what the other man was talking about. Then, their conversation seems to flow after they switched back to Japanese language. One thing I noticed about them was that Japanese people are very polite. Extremely polite. They did not talk loudly or act rowdy in public. And they actually bowed to the drink seller for the good service. Such gracious group of people.

Is that what the government wants the Singaporeans to be? Like the Japanese people? The government recently launched the "towards a gracious society" campaign. Nevertheless, I honestly do not believe that such a campaign would have a profound effect on our society. First, Singaporeans are becoming immune towards campaigns because there are too many of them! Second, such a campaign which touches on the moral aspects of individuals should be taught at home, not by the government.

In my opinion, kids nowadays are becoming more spoilt brats. Parents are becoming more protactive of their little darlings. I mean, just take a look at the kids in primary schools. Their parents actually carry their bags for them and some, even hold umbrellas for them, as if their precious babies would fry and burn under the hot sun even for a mere five minutes. Get real people! Let these kids carry their own bags. Let them experience the harsh reality of life. It wont hurt them. In fact it would have been better for these spoilt brats since life in Singapore is getting more competitive and fast paced.

If I have kids (not anytime sooner, mind you!), I would make sure that they are independent even at the young age of four. No way am I going to carry their bags and stuffs. I would make sure they know how to behave themselves just like the Japanese people. Maybe we should learn from them in order for us to become gracious people instead of the government organizing another round of campaigns.

MOnday BLueessss......

I couldnt wake up this morning. Had to rush off to school. I was not in mood for lessons. I just did not have the energy to participate in the discussions althought my mind was buzzing with many queries. This is soooo horrible! Please.. Please I need the spirit and the drive to work hard and hopefully, excel in my studies. For goodness' sake Ayuni! This is the last year! Arrgghh.... I would try my darnest best not to slack off. Must try.. Must try..Must try.. (Chanting to myself)

In order to strike off the dreaded sense of boredom and gloom, Dearie Darling and I went to catch a movie after school. It was a good one. It is the type of movie that makes you ponder about the plot after dutifully watching it.

Okay.. Im going to bed. Cant think of anything wonderful or news-worthy enough to write. I am going to school tomorrow although there is no lesson. Trying to be the dillegent undergrad... Trying to be

On Friday, we ended our seminar later than usual due to the fact that this particularly irritating dumb lady kept on bombarding the Prof with brainless questions. Questions which any layman could answer. Common sense questions. "Duh" Questions. And the worst part is that she phrased the question in such a way that it appeared very complex and without any prime basis or focus. One word to describe this type of species; "IDIOT!"

I always believe that students should not ask questions for the sake of it. Amazingly, there are some people who do that in order to score for the participation marks. Get a life, people! At the very least, please come up with intelligent questions so that the rest of us do not have to suffer in silence. We tried shutting her up by rebutting her stand. However, being the naive lady that she is, she simply could not shut up and continued dwelling on the issue. -rolls eyes-

Thanks to her, Intan and I have to rush off so that we would not be late for the "Next Wave" performance. I did not even have the lovely chance of having dinner at a leisurely pace. Nevertheless, it was all worth is because The "Next Wave" was simply splendid. Lovely people with beautiful bodies, showing off graceful movements and wowing the crowd. Wonderful.

Its too bad that Nad could not make it for the show. We miss you babe. Do come and meet us soon yah... pleaseeeee.....

LAZY DAY!!!

I have to admit this. I am beginning to dread going to classes. Oh no.. this cannot be happening! Senior students should be more enthusiastic to attend lessons and all. Well.. Im not. I mean, I do love lessons, most of them are rather interesting and enticing. Nevertheless, I am dreading to set my foot in school. The journey, especially in the morning during the bloody peak hours is Simply horrible.
Thank goodness, tomorrow's friday. Looking forward to the Next Wave show after Public Policy lesson.

The IMF finally kicked off yesterday and yes, I have been hearing and watching endlessly about it from the media. It seems to me that this whole IMF thingy is kind of ironic in the sense that people spend huge sums of money and effort just to get a whole group of high-ranking people to sit down together in the same room to TALK. What a wastage of resources. The whole process itself is too extravagant and I personally believe that they should have channelled some of the resources to better causes instead. IMF, itself is an economic giant and thus, it should allocate most of its resources to its main agenda rather than serving unnecessary goals.

Whatever.... I still have doubts with multilateral institutions such as the IMF and WorldBank.
Certainly, they did not do much justice especially to the Third World states.

Okay...
Public policy readings: Check
Framework of the readings: half-Check

Getting ready to go dreamland now. Toodles :)

I am Sleeeeeepy.....

Had a wonderful time with my new shopping khakis- my sis, ana, kak sue and kak lyn. Okay, I did not purchase anything although there were numerous attention-grabbing stuffs. Simply sensible of me, right? Hehe... The two older ladies were shopping joyously whereas the rest of us were trying to act as the reliable critiques. Nine West was having a so-called "grand sale". Lovely. Simply lovely. But not for me. Even a 50% discount in Nine West doesnt make much of a difference. I would not pay 100 bucks for a pair of shoes. Not yet. Hehe...

I have the honour of carrying the paperback with the "Nine West" logo boldy printed on it. Let's just face it. If you cannot afford it, at the very least, you should pretend to afford it. Dreams are the seedlings of goals. Thus, if I start dreaming about getting my very own pair of Nine West shoes, I may achieved that dream provided I put in the required efforts. Haha... Sounds crappy..

Anyways, the day out in town was great. We are going to have another ladies' day out next week.

Did some Chinese politics readings just now. Quite interesting compared to the last week's topic.

Since Intan was not in the former picture, here is an image of Intan and I at the Forum.

Yesterday I had a spur of the moment shopping. This is a bad news for me especially since I am trying my best to save. Fashion Lab had a sale and I, being the fervent fan of the boutique felt the urgent need to grab a lovely blouse or two. Mind you, I didnt splurge. I still possess strands of common sense which alert me to the fact that my wardrobe is already bursting and that I CERTAINLY need to save! I am graduating next year and that implies I need the money to cover numerous expenses- not forgetting a Zara sharp suit for interviews.

So much for mindless self-excuses.

People are just too complex for me to comprehend them. Connecting is, but an ambiguous word when you discuss it in the realm of people behaviour. I tend to believe that I could connect with some people but alas, I was wrong. Dead Wrong. Some people just do not possess the appropriate level of EQ. It must be grave mishaps for them to interact well with the rest of us, the normal and typical beings. Such people just could not sense the appurtenant moment to critic. The environment plays a prime role in influencing the atmosphere of numerous situations. Unless such people do not have the typical emotional senses, they should be aware that the art of critiquing requires the right atmosphere and environment in order to make the message appears subtle yet humourous. Unless such people want to get the message lucidly across. However, that means such people could not play the critique card well. Which is a shame, of course. Being intellectual adults with supposedly an average level of IQ and at least a basic level of EQ, such an impaired character is obviously a real shame. Hopefully, such people would grow up, espeically in the spheres of intelligence, spiritual and rationality.

  HOLLAAAAAAAAAAA
Hollaaaaaa World! I am back after nearly three weeks of hibernation. My companion has return after a long holiday. HP mate has undergone a plastic surgery and he is now currently spotting a brand new screen, perfect body and a working combo drive- all without any price tags. *Beems*

At present, life is like a routined clockwork. Lessons, discussions, readings and more readings. The amount of readings that we have to do can certainly drive us crazy. My purple pilot pen is running low of ink after two weeks of underlining important notations in the readings. Bleargh...

Nevertheless, the workload is still tolerable. Horrible but tolerable. So far so good. Just need to be consistent in my work. However, the worst is not yet over. The horrondous moments would be when the deadlines start rushing on us. Bracing myself for that moments.
